I gave my fiance a gift certificate for us both to unlimited group dance classes, and we started last night. This is going to be so much fun for both of us!

Every time there's a patent or copyright article and people go off the deep end calling these companies crazy/evil, etc, I wish the article would indicate the fact that they are actually required to do so or risk losing their patent/trademarks. Doesn't even matter if they want to or not.
Why would the article indicate that ? You do not risk losing patents by not suing over them. That's only applicable to trademarks.

Hi guys,
I bought myself 2x4Gb Corsair RAM modules.
My MP 2.8 Quad had 3Gb by stock. How do i organise the RAM modules inside the MP for maximum performance? Does placement matter?
I heard its important to have the RAM in multiples of 3. Does that mean i would be better off with 9gb (4, 4, 1) config. rather than a 10gb (4, 4, 1, 1)?
P.s I realise i will have to get rid of 1 of the modules :)
Thank you :)

Did this Passidomo woman say what is attributed to her, or not?
I know right? Christians are totally equivalent in women's clothing to Muslims. I mean, asking for the skirts to be to their knees, for them to not see midriff, or parts of the breast is totally equivalent to making the wear burkhas. And then there is the audacity to ask for them to not be exposed to butt crack on the beach, simply appalling their curtailing of freedom! Why should it be of any importance to you how anyone else cares to dress?

Apple should offer a free trade if you already have a black iPhone 4.

Stop with the FUD already. Businesses operating in the EU cannot do this. Just because corporations in the USA can, doesn't mean the rest of the world is the same...
So..Seriously why do you care then. Not one single publisher cares at all about the 30% that is a pretty standard affiliate cut in for news publishers and exactly what WSJ pays on it's lowest tier, it goes up from there for high volume affiliates.
Do you have any proof that FT actually does sell email addresses?
Just because businesses wants your email doesn't equate to they'll sell your details...
Other then the guy saying it hurts their business model not to have all my personal info no.
How hard is it to uncheck these two boxes?
http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/6509/onek.png
And other publications, like The Economist, already come with the equivalent boxes unchecked by default.
The Economist is ok with selling in subscriptions..
Apple needs to learn to work with publishers.
I spend about a third of my daily iPad time reading the FT every morning. If the app gets pulled or no longer works (because Apple insists on getting their cut of my annual subscription), I will make the very easy decision to get an Android tablet next.
Same goes for my Economist and WSJ apps. Combined, I probably spend 75% of my time on my iPad reading these publications. Take them away, and I'm gone.
My loyalty is to the publisher and the quality of their material. It is NOT to Apple. And one less iPad owner also means one less App store and/or iTunes customer.
Apple should tread very lightly here.
Maybe you should tell publishers you are ok with them not requiring your personal information..

I have a Mac Pro Quad core (early2009) with 1 gt120
As i understand it that there isnt a way to get 4 separate projectors (non-mirrored) with just this setup and a cheap DVI to 2 VGA splitter.
If i have 2 gt120s will i be able to run a 4 screen setup?
If so whats the cheapest way to get this setup to work?
Thanks
Miles

As an aside, I wish they'd bring the Golf GTD over here. I would be strongly tempted to buy one.
The Golf GTD is brilliant... I think it's a better everyday car than the GTI, I test drove one (no intention of buying, but something to do on a Sunday afternoon) and its in-gear performance is proper... And it's far more sophisticated looking than the GTI too.
That said, it's a shame that VW haven't launched a Polo GTD... yet, IMHO the Polo GTI is the true spiritual successor to the MK I Golf GTI, more compact, lighter with an absolute peach of an engine... a GTD would offer comparable performance, but with extraordinary fuel efficiency. The Polo's better looking too... ;)

How do they track individual users to know that one person owns multiple devices?
Marginalization of iOS!? That's some funny stuff. One company has more market share than all others combined and you talk marginalization. Full of hot air.

Apple owes you nothing. They don't announce anything anyway, so this is nothing new. Just, chill out. If you need a phone, go get a phone. The iPhone 4 is incredible tech. If you want to wait for the latest and greatest, buying something used and stick your sim card in it to get you through.
+1. Thank you for being a voice of reason.

There is an interesting phenomenon of "steadiness" (my words). As engines get more fuel efficient, people buy bigger/more powerful cars. Today's engines (per some measure I forget that makes sure the measure is for similar power/weight ratios) use something like a 10th of the fuel to produce the same power as engines from the '70s. The unheralded success story is that engine engineers have done the same thing with the internal combustion engine as electrical engineers did with electronics.
Similar thing for the areodynamics.
It's us, the consumer, that buggered up the fuel savings. We wanted 6 cylinders instead of 4, and 8 instead of 6. We wanted torque, power, and speed. We wanted trucks instead of cars. We wanted vans instead of station-wagons. Then we added all the electrical things (which rob an engine of power). Power windows, brakes, steering, computers, GPS units, DVD players, AC, heated seats etc.
So - as engine efficiency improved we added things that needed power, so that our mileage rates stayed "steady". We are getting more - for the same.
Same thing happens for freeways. It has been known for a long time that building more roads doesn't make traffic flow better - it merely allows for more cars. People will live, on average, about 40 minutes from work. If you build a new freeway to cut that commute time to 30 minutes.... they move 10 minutes further out.
I lived in city with no highways... Vancouver, BC (if you don't count the 5km or so of the #1 that cuts through the NE corner). Has been in the top 3 to 5 (usually at #1) ranked most liveable cities in the world for a number of years now.
We now live in the country, and a Passat has no appeal to me. Though we do drive a Smart Car. We love taking it to the US where there are far fewer of them. We get stopped at gas stations by people who are curious about it, and who think it's a toy. I just tell them that my $25 fill up will take me close to 500km (~300miles) - as they are hitting the $100 mark on their top up - that they do every couple of days. Hee Hee. We also get discounted street parking in Victoria, free hotel parking at some locations in Victoria, and preferred parking at some malls and in Sidney.

Only issue I want fixed is wifi. Disconnects a lot.
Do you have multiple iOS devices in the house? Or ones that come and go - like a friend visits and connects to your WiFi?
If so, there is an issue with some routers assigning the same IP to different devices and that will kick you off from time to time.
Resetting the router with both devices in the house will solve it. Happened to me when my Daughter visited and I connected her to my router. I kept loosing the WiFi. Then all was good after a router reboot. :)

Here are a few more things to fix:
Drag and drop iDisk including right click for renames, etc.
The ability to update the calendar on the web.
An easy way to view published calendars.
A photocast that actually works with other platforms and browsers.
Better integration of iWeb and .Mac (get rid of those old web templates).
I am sure there are more, but these things irk me right now...
